Frequently Asked Questions
What are wood flowers made of?
The flowers used at Blushing Bark are sola wood flowers. They are made from a plant called Aeschynomene aspera, which grows wild and somewhat invasively in marshy areas. Because this plant grows so quickly, it is considered a renewable resource, making my wood flowers an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to cut flowers.
How do I care for my wood flowers?
To preserve the life of your flowers, I recommend you store them in a cool, dry place. Do not store them in air-tight containers or places with excessive moisture. Because the flowers are made from natural wood, they need to breathe. To preserve the color of your flowers, do not place them in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
Where are you located?
Blushing Bark is based in Wadsworth, OH, and serves the Northeast Ohio area.
Do you offer shipping?
At this time, Blushing Bark does not offer shipping.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because of the custom nature of my products, I cannot offer returns or exchanges.
How do I hire you as my wedding florist?
Congratulations on your engagement and thank you so much for considering me! Please fill out my wedding inquiry form and I will get back to you within 48 hours.
How far in advance should I place an order?
For custom home decor pieces, a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks. For weddings or events, at least 3 to 6 months to ensure availability.
How do I clean my wood flowers?
If you notice your flowers getting a little dusty, you can use canned air (also called dust-off or air spray), a hairdryer on a low speed, cool setting, or a lint-free cloth. If you use canned air or a hairdryer, be sure to keep it at least 12 inches away from your flowers.
